Stained Glass Work by Diana Rudolf

I became interested in stained glass in 1990 when my husband and I were looking for a way to cover the side light windows by our front door in Temecula, California.  Since they were only six inches wide, it was difficult to find something that appealed to us.  One day while shopping in Old Town Temecula, we came upon a stained glass shop and immediately I was drawn to the medium of glass.  I loved the light coming through the colored glass, the texture and colors of the different glasses.  The idea of creating images with glass really struck me.  Luckily, the shop offered classes and I signed up that day.  I am now looking forward to creating images using fused glass.

Below are photos of some of my work over the years.

Angels done for a church in Nebraska.  The glass was the original glass from the windows of the church.  Larry built the oak frames for the small windows behind the angels.  These are miniature replicas of the original windows in the church.

Doves Window Panel.  Again, you can see how different the glass looks depending on the time of day when the light hits it from the back.  The window is always changing through out the day.  The doves were done in the Fire Ice Glass.  This panel was done with a combination of lead and foil.
